Ask and it is given. How many times have we heard such sentiment in modern day philosophies and books? Countless individuals have undoubtedly filled their homes with notes full of positive affirmations with their petitions to the “universe”… Notes stuffed in drawers, on mirrors, in cupboards – anywhere one could find to stick their laundry list of requests. Creative boards with pictures of requests and dreams find their way into homes and offices. If we only ask and believe, we will be given whatever our heart desires. Maybe it’s romance, a new body, a beautiful home, a dream job, or a dream life that is sought and desired. It is not good for the man to be alone – Genesis 2:18. Oh many the love song that has echoed this very sentiment. Together in the garden God and Adam were busy working. After all, our body is not our own – it has been purchased at a cost. Read More

Saint Meinrad, often referred to as “the holy hill”, is a space of peace, respite, love and intellectual stimulation. I have perpetual “Jesus moments” during my visits there. While enjoying the presence of Jesus early Sunday morning in the Saint Thomas Aquinas Chapel I melted utterly and completely into his love – it was glorious indeed. Read More
